The panasonic LCD got the same specs as this sony. but pic qlty is better for sony for this case.

But abt sony TV international warranty.

You may dont know this. but sony india doesn't entertain this for TV. Lots of complaints online.
Check for urself. only for VAIO they honour the warranty terms. So buyers should confirm from sony world pattom
before jumping for this.

Your question is a pretty good one, When comparing the spec and details of Sony and Panasonic, we can never feel any difference.
But the simple answer I can say from my experience is the picture DEPTH and CLARITY is more in SONY, which can be easily noticed by anyone by keeping these 2 TV's side by side and by viewing same movie/channel/picture
